i opened her up from the rear and i had a look inside her, low and behold it was the little glass fuse!!!! Interestingly on the diagram it states Power dissipation on the 2K resistors on 110v is 1.

Mine is a V3 and the relevant part of the circuit is included below.

Surprisingly, however, the resistors survived and the PCB suffered all the damage, which is worse.

Nice repair kit This kit worked really nicely.

Mine burnt the PCB up around the resistors so I had to work the circuit out before I could put it back together.

They did not have the exact match in stock but had a replacement.

I have 4 pairs of high end speakers that I have used this with and I can smoothly integrate it into their specs with very good results.
